Seek out freight loads and new clients
Find logistics solutions, close deals and move freight
Talk with potential clients and negotiate the movement of goods
Build relationships with customers and carriers
Provide superior customer service to both internal and external clients
Communicate with carriers and clients while tracking and tracing freight with the highest level of communication
Timely review and processing of client requests
Work with carriers/drivers to resolve discrepancies and other issues as needed
Work with clients to resolve discrepancies
Escalate service failures and other issues to ensure client satisfaction and resolution
Handle tasks or account back-up support as needed
Develop and implement efforts to improve freight mobility
Other tasks as directed
Must be able to work in a team environment
High School diploma or GED, but some college preferred
1-3 years of customer service experience (in logistics a plus)
Technologically literate with skills preferably with IE, Excel, Word, and Thunderbird, in a PC environment as well as VOIP services and internet telephony.
Read, write and speak English. Use of proper grammar and excellent typing skills a must. (Bilingual, English/Spanish a plus)
Must have an affinity for working with customers/carriers on the phone in a professional, courteous and efficient manner (High volume call center experience, a plus)
Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently
Great communication & customer service skills
Problem solving/Investigation skills
